THE LINK THAT MAKES THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY POSSIBLE

La entidad ofrece a las empresas un servicio integral en la gestión de sus residuos.

With seven decades of experience in industrial activities related to the environmental sector, Industrias López Soriano (ILSSA) is a leading company and a true benchmark both regionally and nationally.

As the parent company of López Soriano, ILSSA has diversified its operations through the creation of several companies in numerous areas, ranging from general household appliance recycling, its main focus, to the automotive industry, the processing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and the real estate sector. “By managing them separately, we obtain materials that can be directly returned to production processes, thus avoiding the use of landfills,” explains María López, manager of López Soriano, regarding the key role they play in promoting the circular economy.

“It’s essential that both recyclers, with the material we obtain, and production processes, with the introduction of these, are currently moving in the same direction, making both compatible. Otherwise, obtaining a product that no one can use would not be a circular economy; it would be separating it and sending it to the landfill once again,” adds the entity’s head.

Combating Climate Change

This is also a very important task in combating the effects of harmful phenomena such as climate change. “Every time a production process uses second-generation materials, that is, recycled materials, as raw materials, CO2 emissions are significantly reduced,” notes López.

López Soriano uses the raw materials it recovers for any industrial use, especially refineries, foundries, steel mills—for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, especially aluminum and copper—and plastics, which are repurposed as parts of this component.

The organization also stands out for providing companies with comprehensive waste management, so they have a single point of contact to resolve important issues such as their questions about waste or their collection and paperwork needs.

It recently launched its new logo and corporate image. “We wanted to convey a message of trust and modernity. Although we’ve been here for a long time, the third generation of the family is now fully at the helm of the company, and the time had come for a change, while maintaining the values of service and commitment that we’ve always had,” says López.

Regarding its future challenges, ILSSA aims to “continue investing in innovation, always staying abreast of legal and labor updates and helping our clients adapt to them,” concludes the company manager.
